Transform discarded cabin crew uniforms
Redress, 2017
Corporate garments are constantly wasted and discarded due to reasons such as natural worn-out, unmatched sizes and many more. Redress collaborated with Cathay Pacific Airways to transform their discarded cabin crew uniforms to something new, so that the no longer useful fabric can be made useful again. It was my responsibility to manage the whole project; from design creation to overseeing the entire production timeline.
We developed a ‘lai see packet’ product that can be used beyond Chinese New Year, it is a multifunctional product that can be used as a travel wallet, passport holder or even a phone pouch. This product was sold on Cathay Pacific online shop, demonstrating the up-scalability and marketability of up-cycled and sustainable products to the public.
